Craft House Inn - Santa Barbara CA

Santa Barbara, CA, USA

Santa Barbara has always been one of my favorite little weekend getaways. Whenever I’m looking into where to stay I always make sure I’m walkable to restaurants or the beach. Which is very easy to find in a city like this. I found Craft House Inn and instantly knew I had to stay there. It’s an 100 year old Bed & Breakfast that’s been designed thoughtfully for today’s traveler. It offers 5 bedrooms each curated with the sweetest, coziest themes. I’m a huge butterfly lover and when I saw they had a room called “The Butterfly” I knew that’s where my husband and I would be sleeping. From the absolutely stunning wallpaper to the coziest bed, closet and quaint bathroom; I’d 1000% recommend this room but you can’t go wrong with any of the rooms in this house. You can just tell a lot of love and detail went into this home and it’s meant to be shared.

Since we were looking into a big group getaway, I LOVED that The Craft House Inn offers an option to takeover the whole house as a buyout. We were celebrating one of my best friend’s 30th birthday, what better way to celebrate than staying all together in a gorgeous cozy house! Santa Barbara has always felt so special to me, my friends even threw me a bachelorette party in the same town last year. Bringing everyone together has always been a huge part of our group.

One of the highlights of the weekend was booking the private chef to come to the house & cook us brunch. My mouth is currently salivating thinking of the eggs he made (they were the best eggs I have EVER tasted!! Now every time I cook eggs I try to use his technique…but he’s a Michelin star chef so I can’t even compare.) He cooked a whole feast, setting up a smorgasbord of delicious treats and food on the table in the backyard. We all gathered together around the table, drinking coffee, sharing plates and nursed our hangovers from the night before with mimosas. *the private chef is for full buyouts.

The Activities:

For my friend’s birthday dinner we walked from the house to Arigato Sushi & had game night back at the house. We also enjoyed going to The House Of Clues to participate in The Museum escape room. We escaped within the last minute! It was the first escape room I’ve ever participated in and now count me in for more. There’s so many things walkable to the house but my favorite part of the weekend getaway was spending quality time with my good friends. We brought so many games to enjoy at the house, that made our stay here even more memorable. Whither you book one of the rooms for a little self care treat, a romantic getaway, or book out the entire house with your friends…this place will be one you’ll want to book again!
